One Night in Bangkok…

One night in Bangkok…is definitely not enough to experience and explore the whole awesomeness of that city.

Sawatdee khrap and welcome to Bangkok.

Staying in the district of Silom, which is considered as the financial district and party area in Bangkok, i really had an enjoyable stay here. Not getting too much of a hangover, we visited the Sky Bar “Sirocco” which is just 5 min walking distance away and was the setting of the movie “Hangover 2″. From the window of my hotel room I got a direct view towards the Rooftop-Bar with its golden dome.

Overlooking Bangkok from 230m Altitude at night was just totally amazing. If you ever have experienced what i am talking about, you will definitely know that it is an indescribable feeling – a mixed feeling of Thrill, Vertigo and Happiness.

Using the Sky train, River-Boats and Tuk-tuks was a great blend of getting around in the Streets and Rivers of Bangkok. Furthermore talking to local people in non-tourist areas gave me more invaluable insights about the Thai mentality and what business local tuk-tuk drivers have in mind when they offer you 40 Baht (0,90 Euro Cents) for a 2 Hour Tuk-tuk drive. Now at least i know where the local people go for a good custom tailored suit and where people come to pray for happiness and luck.

It was a real great stay and i am definitely already looking forward again to all the delicious Thai Food, crazy Nightlife experiences and the great hospitality of the Thai People .

Kop Khun khrap (Thank you).

Below you will find and see all the great pictures of my stay. Isn’t the hotel room a great venue for having breakfast served right to the room? I think so too!

Laew phob gan mai ( See you again)
