Salam,
and welcome to another great Trip to Teheran in the Country of Iran which was the ancient Kingdom of Persia about 2,500 years ago. The North of Teheran where i stayed is the more developed and prosperous district of the City. Whereas the southern part is known to be less attractive and therefore cheaper.
The experience i have made with Iranian people on the flight was really a great one. Many of them were open-minded and very approachable. Considering my brown hair and dark eyes i was often asked, if i was Iranian as well. I really had allot of fun with them.
The hotel view was pointed directly towards the Alborz Mountain Range with its snow covered summit. Teheran itself is located around 1km above sea-level. We took a Trip to the nearby souk and mingled with the local people, the Islamic culture and religion. The mosque was a pretty and impressive architectural building with its glass interior. Respecting the local culture, i did not take any pictures from inside, but i can tell you that it is worth visiting, even just to sit outside and to observe the local people.
Another highlight was the great dinner we had in the mountains near the cable car Station. The special kebab with rice was really a special and rich experience in the cuisine of Iran.
All in all it was another great trip with special memories, especially the view to the mountains and the Iranian people that i met. Below you will find and see all the great pictures from my Persian Trip.
