…Seattle has so much to offer, to discover and to enjoy, it would be basically a waste of time to just spend it in bed and sleep.
Welcome to Seattle, the capital of the state Washington, located on the west coast of the United States around a 150km south of the Canadian border. Seattle, also known to be the “Emerald city”, has its name given by the fact of its nature rich green environment.
Seattleites, as how the citizens are called, love variety and new things while being casual, tech-savvy, politically-minded, and practical. According to a recent report, Seattle is the most highly educated and literate city in the whole United States. This is very noticeable, especially in the open mindset of the people that I have got to known there.
Seattle is the home of a few well-known People that have impacted the way we use technology today, and have influenced the music culture tremendously. Bill Gates, for example, was born in Seattle and founded Microsoft in Redmond together with Paul Allen. Furthermore Jimi Hendrix was from Seattle too, as well as grunge rock superstars Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain.
Okay, so much information overload right now. Let’s take a break and have a coffee. But where to grab one? The streets of Seattle are thick with Independent coffee shops, many of which roast their own coffee. The most well-known Coffee shop howsoever is Starbucks, which was founded by three students in 1971, as “Starbucks Coffee, Tea and Spice” on Pike Place Number 1912.
From all the places, that I have traveled to so far, Seattle belongs to one of the most impactful and memorable ones. Taking the Flight back to Germany, my biggest Childhood Dream came true as well. From the Airplane I experienced the Aurora, also known as the “Northern Lights”.
What an invaluable Trip and Experience. Mind blowing and Mind changing.
All the best, until very soon.
